False lashes are a bit of a saviour when it comes to weddings and parties. Fabulous lashes are a must and we all want that bambi look but there are times when falsies are not a realistic option, like a day at the office or a more formal engagement. We have put together a step by step guide that will give you a touch of the faux look and you don’t have to worry about having steady hands and controlling messy glue.

Step one:

To start off with use eyelash curlers to give your lashes a perfect looking curl. Pump the curlers from the roots to the tips, making sure that you hold the clamp in place for around eight seconds before releasing. Curling the base, the middle, and the ends of your lashes will give you the ideal looking curve rather than an undesirable right angle look.

Step two:

Select your favourite plumping black mascara and brush through one or two coats of it from the roots to the tips of lashes.

Step three:

Now this is the all important step which is guaranteed to amp up your lashes. Take a small amount of baby powder and tap it into a small container like the lid of one of your beauty products, or even in the palm of your hands. Use a cotton bud and lightly dip it into the powder.

Step four:

Next, cover the top and bottom of your upper and lower lashes so that they are completely coated in a light dusting of the baby powder. You lashes will take on a bit of a grey colour when you are finished.

Step five:

Slick on another coat of your mascara from the roots to the tips which will turn your lashes back to black, and the powder with have given them added volume and length.
