Whoever said blue is for boys are most definitely wrong this season as it was all over the autumn catwalks. We have put together two looks to help you to adopt this trend with ease and guarantee that you stand out from the crowd.
Blue Smokey Eyeshadow
This provides a bit of a twist on the more traditional smokey eye look and it is very easy to achieve. Start by blending a bright blue shadow over the eye lid up to the socket line and out to the corner of your eye. Then take a dark grey shadow and blend it along your lash line, outwards to the corner of your eye again. A large, soft eyeshadow brush will help you to blend the colours easily as you want to create a soft finish. Do the same again under the lower lashes, gently blending in the dark grey to the outer corner once more.
Don’t forget to apply lashings of mascara, colour your waterline, and add a touch of white shimmer to the inner corner of your eye which will make your eyes appear brighter.
Blue Cat Eyes
If you love the sexy cat eye look then you should definitely give this one a try. Take a light brown shadow and blend it into the crease of your eyelid before applying black eyeliner above the top lashes. With your bright blue shadow, blend it over the top of the liner, winging it out at the outer corners of your eye, and along the outer quarter of the crease. Apply blue eyeliner to the bottom waterline (it sounds retro, I know) before dragging it up to join the blue blend on your upper lashes. You should be left with a cat eye style which will give you a wide eyed look. For a slightly smokey finish blend over the whole look with a large soft brush so that you remove any harsh lines.
